Team and unit status

During an incident, each level of the organisation sees the status of the people beneath it — no more, no less. Team heads see their team in full, line executives see their whole line without the sensitive detail, and HR sees the whole company.

Who uses it: team heads, line executives and HR. The BCP head and the operator have the same company-wide view as HR.

The sensitive detail is a person’s note, photo, shared location and the content of a Need help request. Down-Only Visibility applies: nobody sees a unit beside or above their own — see Product rules.

The unit-status view summarises your unit at a glance:

  • counts of Safe, Affected, Need help and not reported for the current round;
  • the day’s work status — in office, working from home, unable to work, on leave — against the unit’s minimum staffing from the BIA;
  • for a line executive or HR, the same figures for each unit beneath, so the unit with most people unaccounted for stands out.

The status map shows who has reported, where — for those who shared their location — and who is silent, with counts by unit and by company site. Executives use it to see where their people are in relation to the hazard.

  1. Open Team and filter Not reported (or Need help).
  2. Call the person from their row, or from your team room.
  3. After you reach them, tap Report for and record their status, with a note if needed. The record shows that you reported for them.

People not reached within the set time are escalated automatically — see Activating the call tree.

  • Down-only. You see the units beneath you; the database refuses any other read.
  • No sensitive detail sideways or upward beyond the rule. A line executive’s view never carries a note, photo or location.
  • Report-for is stamped. Who reported for whom, and when, is kept.
